1. Copy the correct LOT number
Open the vehicle listing and locate its LOT number. Copy the digits exactly. Do not substitute the item number or sale lane: those fields describe order within a sale but do not uniquely replace the listing identifier.
2. Search and verify the vehicle
Paste the LOT into VINsniper. Compare the returned VIN, year, make, model and sale information with the official listing. If they do not match, do not activate the watch until the identifier is corrected.
3. Choose the notification distance
Select 15 vehicles for more preparation time, 10 for a balanced warning or 5 if you are already ready to join. Fast lanes can process several vehicles quickly, so avoid choosing a threshold that gives you too little time.
4. Keep the official sale available
When the notification arrives, open the official auction page and confirm that the vehicle is still scheduled and eligible. VINsniper assists with timing; it does not control or operate the auction.
