LOT number versus VIN

The VIN identifies a vehicle, while a LOT number identifies an auction listing. A vehicle may appear in different sale contexts over time, so verify both against the current official listing.

Lane and item order

A sale can run multiple lanes. The lane groups vehicles into a live sequence, while the item order helps place a vehicle within that sequence. The number of vehicles ahead is more actionable during the sale than a static scheduled time.

Pre-bid and live bidding are different

A current bid before the lane reaches a lot does not mean the vehicle is already on the live block. VINsniper focuses on approaching queue position so you can return for the relevant live stage.

Changes are normal

Auction operators may pause lanes, update listings, withdraw vehicles or change sequence information. Treat third-party monitoring as assistance and use the official auction interface for final status and actions.
